After every use, the garment must be hand washed. Harmful elements such as suntan lotions, salt, chlorine, and body perspiration can cause discoloration and spandex breakdown. Since laundry detergents are too harsh on the spandex and the color, use mild hand soap made without added moisturizers. Do not wring the swimsuit to remove excess water. Lay it flat on a towel and roll the towel up and squeeze gently. Remove it from the towel and lay it flat to dry. Do not hang it to dry as that will stretch out the fibers in the fabric. Avoid using washers and dryers as damage can occur due to agitation and excessive heat. It is also important to let your suit "rest" between uses. This allows the spandex to bounce back (called recovery) to its original size and maintain its fit longer. If you wear a suit without letting it recover, it will lose its shape and fit more quickly. It's recommended to let the suit rest for 24-36 hours between uses. Always remove excess moisture with a towel and lay flat to dry indoors or in the shade. Also note, direct sunlight will fade your suit. It is always a great idea to have more than one suit.

These shorts are the best!I don't know why these shorts received such poor reviews.I absolutely love them and have been buying them for years. The only thing wrong with these shorts is that they seriously are made too small so you just have to buy them in a larger size. I wear size ten in jeans and I bought these in a size 14 which fit but I just ordered them in a size 16 and they are even better. So go ahead and order them, just get them two or three sizes larger than what you need.

Love the coverageI just got mine in the mail and tried them on and I am very happy with these shorts. I have always worn skirt bottoms because I don't like the tops of my thighs and, I'll be honest, I'm not great at shaving that area. I got sick of the skirt bottoms always floating up while I was swimming, so I tried these. These shorts cover very well, but aren't too long. The picture of them looks like they sit below the bellybutton, but mine come up over it which is great. The only thing I take issue with is the sizing. I read in the reviews to order a couple of sizes bigger, and I'm glad I did. I am an 18/20 and I ordered a 22, and it's a good thing I did. The 22 fits perfectly, so they aren't really true to size.

Love the length, but these run EXTREMELY small. These run very small. I am not in denial, but I wear a 14 or a 16 in pants/jeans/skirts. Before purchasing this item, I read the reviews and several people said buy these shorts two sizes up. I ordered the 22 and they are still way too tight. They are tight around the thigh and very low in the crotch. I love the length of them, so I am sending these back and getting a 24 or 26. I have the non bike shorts and they run run very true to size and I am thrilled with those.

Not chlorine resistant!I bought two suits from this site. The tops are fine. After replacing the looser shorts with the bike short I expected everything to be fine. The bike shorts are fading rapidly, along the seams and where my thighs meet my torso. I have had to pay for 2 other bike shorts from a different company that sells chlorine resistant shorts. Hard to understand why the Aquabelle bike shorts fade so quickly! I had recommended Aquabelle to several of my arthritis class friends as the suits were stylish and reasonably priced. Now I have to warn them not to buy the shorts!

Great stretch, great coverage. When I first pulled these out of the package, I thought "there is no way that is going to fit!" They looked like a size 12, not a 22. But, there is amazing stretch to this high-quality fabric. These bike shorts help firm up and camoflage my flabby thighs. They are really cute with the A-line top I bought. I bought these for hot tubbing, and casual swimming, so I don't know how they would be for water aerobics or more strenuous swimming.

Kind of thin.I'm 56, 5'10", 210 pounds. I bought these because I want to feel like I'm wearing shorts to the beach, way beyond showing everything off at my age. I took the advice of other reviewers and ordered two sizes up. I'm glad I did. Kind of snug like gym shorts would be, and kind of thin. I like them though because I was able to get a bigger size. I feel covered.

Runs small!I bought these to help cover my thighs a little, since swim shorts are typically a little too short. I wear size 18 normally, but bought a size 22 since I'm a bit heavier in my thighs. Still too small.

Perfect protection for my thighs.I'm 5'2" and 225#. That means very round thighs that rub. My family was going to a water park. I didn't want to be left out nor miss on the fun. I took a gamble buying these (size 26) along with a long top. It worked out even better than I imagined. No rubbing, no soreness. All go, go, go. I can walk without any thought, plus they were extremely comfortable. They are out of my size right now or I'd order a backup pair. I've not seen long shorts like this before.
Best Answer:No, in fact it is rather thin. I use it at least once a week in a chlorinated pool. So far so good. I've had it for about two months. We shall see how long it lasts. But if you're expecting a lining, it's not there.
